Its really annoying to install a new spam filter software, and then finding out the place where it dumps the stuff it calls spam isn't where the documentation tells you where it is.
I just found some personal email I was waiting for for a week in the spam filter. And I had been trying not to bother the person who I was emailing because I knew she was away from home on travel. :( :( :(

Date: 2005-06-04 02:28 am (UTC)A couple years ago I emailed my headhunter about the job market. I didn't hear back from him for several days, which is quite unlike him, so I called. He said he'd replied, so I checked the quarantine. Understand that I met this guy when we were both in High School, and I've worked with him looking for both jobs and people off and on for many years. Apparently he was a little scatological in his description of the job market, using the words "sucks" and "blows" in his response. As best as I can tell, that, along with the URL in his signature, triggered the filter to classify his reply as "XXX" and shunted it into the quarantine folder.
I've since added his domain to my white list.
