So I was chatting with a dear friend yesterday, and at one point she looked at the docksiders I was wearing as is my habit, and she told me I just *had* to get some new Birkenstocks, since the shoes I was wearing made me look like a total geek. I had been saying I needed a pair of Birks anyway, but later that night as I was watching tv with Pam, I remarked "xxx said these shoes make me look like a over the hill geek", and Pam replied "dear, you *ARE* a geek".
Ouch. I guess I should learn not to lead with my chin.

It's definitely better to lead with your hands and shoulders. ::grin::
