Ouch

So, there is this old bad joke (and I just *love* old bad jokes) that goes, "A guy walks into
a bar and says ouch." First time I heard it
I didn't get it, and took about an hour before
I did get it. I was at a party, and just
blurted out "and he says ouch", at which
point everyone looks at me and thinks
I'm weird.

Anyway, I was working sunday night, and it
was cloudy and late, so I'm leaving at 10ish,
and walk out of the building with the 26 inch
telescope, and sneek a look at the sky.
I see two little stars twinkling at me, and
I say "about time you guys show up" and
*WHAM* I'm lying on the ground in pain. I had
walked into a wooden ramp at a good clip.
Takes me several minutes to recover enough
to get up. Gawd knows how long it would have
been till the secret service found me.
I have a black eye that makes me look I just
got beat up by Sugar Ray Lenard.
And astronomy is supposed to be safe?
