Technology
Sep. 24th, 2001 10:23 amWell, inspite of all the crapola going on about
the WTC, I decided to spend my Sunday as I
normally spend my Sundays during the fall. Watching football. Now my favorite team is,
and has been for years, the Miami Dolphins.
Who don't get tremendous coverage in this
area. But thanks to the wonders of modern
technology, I spent the day listening
to a real audio broadcast of the football
game. The dolphins were trailing the raiders
15-10 with under two minutes when they got the
ball, and started a 80 yard drive. The Fins
get the ball to the 2 yard line, time is down
to 5 seconds. I'm starting to bounce on the
chair waiting, and then the web cast pauses!
I hate technology. I spend the next two minutes
trying to get a connection back. Turns out
the Dolphins scored and won18-15, but I almost
put my fist through the computer.
Feh on technology.
