Being Artsy Fartsy
Yesterday I spent the day at the National Gallery of Art downtown (after having
brunch with
geekchick), her roommate, and her um, friend. Pam and Jack's Boy went also. We spent the early part of the afternoon looking at the
trompe l'oeil exhibit, which was loads of fun. In the evening we listened to a
free concert (my favorite kind) of a pianist who can only play with the left hand, which cuts the available works he can do down by quite a lot. I enjoyed it, as well as the hanging around the museum, and the evening snack of grapes and cheeses. I felt fully cultured, and I didn't even eat any of the blu cheese. :) I noted that the crowd was pretty mixed, but the younger portion of the crowd was mostly female. :)
