Looking at the wine list at dinner i noticed they had numbers next to the wine, 1.5, 1.9 etc. I was thinking that was a rather low alcohol content when I realized it was the carb level.

down time

its seven fifteen. been going since 8:30. still have one more panel, a NASA "town hall" meeting about proposals about the Space Inteferometry Mission. I was getting cranky, but some grooving to U2 Joshua Tree is calming me down.

ambiance

No matter how much blue carpet the lay down, the hotel can't hide the fact that the poster space was built to be underground parking.

new discovery

Astronomers at the AAS meeting were shocked and amased at the surprise discovery of a G2 dwarf star. The star, predicted by theory, has proved hard to detect.
