Yet another visit to the urologist, who now says that the kidney stone is right on the dividing line of being large enough to try to ultrasound the sucker or small enough to let it pass by itself. The doc says that while the ultrasound is mostly side effect free mostly side effect free is not the same as all side effect free (and I did start thinking of the Mad Max bit from Princess Bride) so he recommended just waiting. I have a follow up scheduled for 6 months, and I'm told that if I have pain or see blood in the urine in the mean time call in for an new appointment.

Sudafed is doing nothing for me. Tavist seems to be helping a lot.
