I finally made it to Glenn Echo on a Sunday for some waltzing, like I've been threatening to do forever. I felt quite rusty to start (given that I had last done any serious amount of dancing when I was an undergrad, back around 1985). My calves are all sore, and I ended up making myself a bit dizzy, but an afternoon at the Spanish Ballroom where I got to see, talk with, and dance with vvalkyri, fireandearth, blushing_grace, and margoeve can't be all bad. I even chatted with elkor but didn't dance with him, for some strange reason. It was fun getting to talk with them, mostly my convos have been part of a larger group discussions, when you are dancing with someone you get a chance to interact on a one on one basis, which is nice to do.
