You feel pretty foolish when trying to erase the whiteboard you just spent 15 minutes writing
funky equations on when you realize that you were using a colored sharpie rather than the eraseable
marker.

I've *never* done anything like that.

Sometimes you can scratch it off. Or if you put a sheet of paper and scratch on the paper, the ink will transfer.

My boss did that on the projector screen while teaching a class (he did not notice the screen was down over the whiteboard and just wrote on it).
