yet another sham interview

gshI found out today that work is going to be advertising for a senior astronomer position, at a level one higher than what I currently am. But I also know they want to hire a dude currently at CalTech. So I get to apply, have a sham interview, then be friendly with the dude when he gets hired. Hard to be mad at him, I've been co-author with him on some papers.
