hospice visit

I visted Dave for about 45 minutes tonight. He didn't seem to be tracking most of the time, but there were times he did responded to my comments. I felt so helpless.

They mentioned that you were there last night, so it made a nice impression. I saw them today. He was a lot more chipper, and so much his "old self" with less slurring and better tracking. I guess we'll find good and not so good days from now on. *sigh*

I feel helpless too, but we're doing the best we can in supporting them both through this horrendous time. Thanks for being a part of that support. If we can all lean on each other, the burden will be that much less.

Oof. Maybe daytime is better? He was telling stories this afternoon, of l33t skillz and crazy bosses and quitting with gusto.
