Dogs *sigh*
May. 12th, 2002 03:21 pmSo we had dinner with Pam's parents for Mother's day. One of the mother daughter bonding type things Pam and her mom do is lots of shopping at Costco, since Pam's mom has a membership, and we don't. We usually get "gifted" some number of steaks or pork chops after one of these trips, so I don't complain at all. Yesterday they came home with lots of meat to shove in the fridge, and a big box of strawberries, and 24 of those little angle food cake sorta things for strawberries to be put on. I did wonder how long it would take us to eat 24 of these things, but what do you expect from costco. So we go out to dinner at Sweetwater Tavern, and say good by to Pam's parents, then come home and take the dogs for a walk. We then decide to watch The Mummy on DVD, and have some strawberry shortcake. But we can't find the angle food cake things. After a few minutes of "where could they have put those silly things" I got a sinking feeling
in my gut, and walked downstars. In the family room was a plastic container, the one that *used* to hold 24 angle food
cakes. The dogs apparently thought they were delicious.

Date: 2002-05-12 03:13 pm (UTC)Reminds me of the time last summer that B's dog Oscar ate my three Krispy Kreme doughnuts that I'd bought in NYC and was saving to enjoy on my train trip back to Boston. All that was left was a bit of waxed paper bag and some shreds of napkin. :(
I love my pets
