Woody Furniss update

I visited Lisa "Woody" Furniss in the hospital yesterday. Woody is doing as fine as can be expected after having a kidney removed, although "as fine as can be expected" still meant Woody was groggy and in pain. The treatment for the cancer is on hold for a while.

It was really strange to realize that of the three people I knew who were in the hospital, I only had time to visit one of them.

Does anyone have any idea what happened with J's surgery yesterday?

If by J you mean J McG, I know they weren't able to put in the stents, and were doing more tests to determine how to do the Plan B (aka bypass).

Yikes! I managed to miss all of this. Best wishes to them both. Hope nothing horrid precipitated the attempts at stents.

Plan A for J was two stents. Plan B was a double bypass. Unfortunately plan A didn't work.

I was trying to be discreet, but yea... :) that's who I meant. I had been praying they would be able to do the stents, but it's also good to hear they didn't take him directly to the OR as I had heard they might.

Thanks for both updates!! I will continue to keep their family in my thoughts and prayers!
