I'm thinking of having the sixth mostly annual chocolate fondue party on Dec 10th. I'm worried that might be too close to the Holidays. What do you all think?

It's November and December.

Anything is "too close" to the holidays.

There is never an inappropriate time for chocolate!

I say, have it anyhow. There are a LOT of people who don't have a lot to do around the holidays - family out of state, not many close or close-by friends, etc - that might really appreciate an invitation, particularly for something that is not a $holiday party.

That having been said, I'll be in Boston that weekend, so won't be able to make it :(

I have no idea. I'm trying to get CK to California to visit my Grandparents, and that may be the only weekend in which to do it. However, I am eternally wishywashy, so please don't make your plans for or against a particular date just for me.

I won't be in town unil the evening of the 13th. *wails* *presses hand to forehead* :)
