Joy

It is *sooo* fun to read in the paper that Fly I is going to stop operations on Jan 7th when I have round trip tickets to Arisia the weekend after that.

No refunds will be offered to passengers wishing to cancel their reservations airline spokesman Rick DeLisi said. "Our fares have always been nonrefundable,"

joy.

Oh, RATS. I really liked them too.

I hope you can get another flight to Arisia...

I'm probably taking the train, but doesn't USAir still run shuttle service between National and Logan?

Why the train? It takes 8 hours.

I know. =) I actually like the train, and IIRC the train station is walking distance from the hotel (and is not Logan *twitch*). That said, if we're going to need to be back in time to give the cat his insulin (as it looks like we will), I might need to change plans and fly so we can get back before midnight.

paranoia over snow, for some.

Additional note - the article I just saw said that they would be stopping operations sometime between Jan 7 & 21, and then only if another investor does not step in. So your tickets might still be good.

I'm working on the blissful idea that they will be bought or find a stay of execution until after Arisia. If not, well.... I guess our plans are fluid. I've done the drive before and might again...

What's worse, the FlyI site has no indication of any possibility of a problem, even now. In fact, if I attempt to book seats from here to Rochester, leaving on March 29 and returning on March 31, it helpfully provides me with a list of flights, and in some instances an indication that only 2 or 3 seats are left at the price shown.
