I got a new computer (64 bit) last year. I've had some teething problems with it, like it won't sync to my palm on a reliable basis, but mostly its ok, and its a boat load faster than it used to be. I've tried to track down an email problem at the end of last year, and it was dealing with IPV6 issues, which I don't care about since I don't use IPV6, but fedora comes compiled to use IPV6. So I got that email problem sorta fixed, and right before Christmas I notice I have a problem printing, and try to solve that, and I get no where, then I have my christmas vacation, then New Years, then the AAS meeting, and I'm back in the office trying to be productive today, and no damn printing. I spent about 4 hours trying to track this thing down, then I notice something strange with a DNS lookup, and investigate that more, and I see that an option I put into /etc/resolv.conf to try to fix the previously mentioned email problem (it didnt' fix it) was actually causing my lack of printing problem. AAARGH. About 8 hours of work down the drain cause I shot myself in the foot. Spit. Hell. Damn.

Lets see, I can drive into DC tomorrow, work 4 hours, and get 4 hours admin leave off, or I can telework from Fairfax and work the full 8 hours.

Interesting incentive plan.
