Morning rituals

Pam has "commented" or "noticed" (which is different from complaining) that I hadn't been shaving very close. To "help" me out she got me one of those Gilette multiblade razors. This morning while showering I tried one of them out, and can indeed report I got a much closer shave. I looked in the mirror after my shower and found I was bleeding in four places.

Life in DC

It had been awhile since I had seen blushing_grace so we made arrangements to meet for lunch today. Since she has a stricter clock policy at work than I do, I let her pick the place, and she emailed me this morning that we should meet at the Cosi's at 19th and M at noon. I was there a few minutes early, noticed that the Cosi's was down the block a bit, and walked over and waited patiently while enjoying the sunshine and people watched. At about six or seven minutes past noon my cell went off, and it was blushing_grace on the line. She asked me what my ETA was, and I said I was here, and what her ETA was (thinking there had been a last minute thing which caused her to run late). She then told me she was outside the main entrace of Cosi's. I look around and made sure a cute blondebrunette wasn't talking on a cell phone that I hadn't noticed, and then said "I'm at the Cosi's at 20th and M, where are you?" BG replied "19th and L!"

Two rational people, doing rational things, and we end up at different places to eat lunch. It wasn't *quite* as bad as the time that I waited at the top of a metro station for nearly a half hour for melebeth while she waited at the bottom of the metro station.

The store's name is "Torrid", not "Torpid".
