Finished on the mountain. Had three good nights and two iffy ones. Have to wait to do the acutal data reduction to see if I got anything useful. Bringing back about 34 Gig of data, yipee. They don't feed the astronomers in La Serena, so I walked down to the mall hoping to find postcards. No luck there. I was hungry at about 6ish, and most dinner places don't open till 7:30 here, but I didn't want Mall Food Court (which seems to be the same in Chile as in the US). I had dinner at a local cafe, I could figure out most of it by reading the special, and then ordered it. I had to do some pointing at the food. They served an "eclaire" first, with some fruit punch, and man in Chile they must either floss a lot or have big dental bills since *both* the cake and the juice were way too sugary. After the cake they brought me my chicken sandwich with guacamole on it. I don't know why the dessert is served first, but everyone seemed to be doing it. I would have been better off with the sandwich first.
