My night of observing with the 3 meter at Lick is over, and it looks like I got five quasars observed, with seeing under half an arc second (that's pretty good for you non astronomers). Today I visited Livermore, it was a pleasant drive out there, and there are lots of vineyards there. I hadn't known that the 26th annual wine festival. The places were packed, and with the temperature at about 98 degrees, after I had sampled about 7 different wines I decided to quit, since I didn't want to get too much alcohol in that heat. I wandered past the historic looking down town on my way back. Now to catch up on email and lj, perhaps a late night swim, then pack up for my 10:30 am plane trip home tomorrow.

Never taken the drive up to Lick. I need to someday. Hope your stay in California was pleasant. Next time you're in town I can point you to some of the better wineries.
