Mauna Kea, you're in the middle of BFE. At the other end of the array in St. Croix, you're 10 minutes from the casino, and 20 from the center of town.

Well, there aren't an astronomers employed by VLBA in St. Croix, only maintenance workers.

The astronomers are all employed in Socorro New Mexico, which having spent six years of my life there, I can certainly attest to qualifies as BFE.
