I'd like to think that in June 2011 all the non-raptured self-righteous folk would tuck their tails between their legs and hide for a hundred years, but I'm sure they'll just move the goalposts again.

At one point, I kiddingly said to my son that of course Civilization As We Know It ended as soon as easy_living and I got married, and asked him whether he had noticed. His response was, "Well, I did hear something, but I thought it was [my brother] and [my sister] throwing pine cones at each other." So we must now investigate the effects of gay marriage on the throwing of pine cones.

I think your graph might be wrong. I know for a fact that my grandparents had to go to West VA to get married cause VA didn't allow the marriage of first cousins. Yea, my family tree is kinda narrow. Probably explains alot. *grin*

Reality was already warped! My cat types, perhaps better than I do, anyway. She doesn't think through her comments, however, and just clicks 'Add Comment' without considering where to go with it. Therefore, five and six, reality is (somewhat, a little bit, a tiny-winy bit?) warped!
