This is why it snowed last night. Can't have the last snow until the first crocuses are up.

Nope. It's the crocuses' fault. They stick their little heads up and say "It's spring! Come on, you cowards! IT'S SPRING NOW! What are you waiting for? Winter is finished, defeated, and broke! Ha!". And then winter smacks them on the head with a last load of snow.

Happens every year. Once you see crocuses, you are one snowstorm away from spring.

I too watch for the crocuses. In college I used to buy one in a pot and watch it bloom. Then when it was done, I would plant the bulb in my mother's front yard. It is neat to see them multiplying there over the years.
