Actually, I think planned parenthood is the puppy in this scenario; ya'll are the guys walking by that as the bullet blasts through the puppy's skull in a fountain of gore and blood, get caught as collateral damage.

At which point the shooter looks at the dead puppy and the bleeding out collateral damaged one and says, "Heh, 2 for 1 deal. Score."
