how to make your boss nervious

I filled out a leave request for all my use or lose, figuring that i'd work about half the month, and take the rest off, and that way i can get the leave restored. My boss walked into my office with the weirdest expression on his face, and he asked 'Did you mean to ask for leave for the ENTIRE MONTH of December?" I had no choice but to look at him straight in the eye and say 'Yes'.

Use it well. "Use or lose" is always something that I've not liked much. I'm getting paid for my leave, which really isn't a bad thing and gives me a bit of a cushion that is useful. Yay.

I acutally expect I'll work for the first 10 days or so, and take off when my deliverable is done. I just asked to make sure of maximum flexibility.

Which leaves you with a month to behave erratically and enigmatically. Start skulking. Cut off your own explanations in meetings with "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that." If anyone asks you what you're doing with the time off, look nervous and make up a flimsy excuse to leave the room.

When you come back, deny you were ever gone.

Yes, there is a certain date in November I have to request all my leave, my supervisor can deny it for any reason he wants to, for good or for bad, but if
I made the november deadline, and he denies me leave, I can get the leave restored.

Most of this was my way of making a point when my boss asked me to bring in a doctors note over a three day absence, and I felt that was not treating me as a professional.
