Having your boss ask you for a updated resume so he can pass it around the other department heads in an effort to find some other department that has need of my skills.
Maybe he is just being cautious. Unless he has been much more blunt that that and given you a date there is still a chance nothing may come of it and you may stay. They love and need you there and they know it.
