Is this fate?

So Pam and I take the mother in law to a baseball game every year. This year the MIL wanted to see the Yankees in July. We had to buy tickets in pairs, so that leaves one ticket. Pam and I were trying to figure out who might enjoy the ticket, and we came up wth CTan. but we figured the odds of her being in the dc area was low. So I sent her email, and she's going to be at at conference in silver spring that weekend. I figure it's fate.
