Dear movie theater

Dear theater,

I am aware I am more finincky about time than the average person. I'm aware that when you
advertise a showing of "The Avengers" at 12:01am on Thursday there can be some question
of "Is that a few minutes after midnight of Wednesday night or Thursday night?".

However, when I walk in at 9pm on Wedneday, ask "Is there a showing of the Avengers
in three hours?", am told "Yes", and I buy two tickets, I will be very annoyed then when
I return at 11:30 I'm told that the movie doesn't start til "Tomorrow".

Today is Thursdat at 11:30am. If I see a movie 12 hours from now, that will be
11:30 PM on Thursday. If I see a movie 13 hours from now, that will be 12:30 AM
on Friday. It isn't a hard concept. *GRRR*

Hopefully they gave you an apology and refunded your money (i.e. comped the tickets for tomorrow night.)

There should NOT be any question what is meant by 12:01 AM or 12:01 PM. That's why we would use 12:01 rather than 12:00. I assume the person who sold you the ticket saw 12:01 AM listed as a show time and assumed that meant three hours from now, since THAT'S WHAT 12:01 AM MEANS!

I would be really REALLY pissed off and I would also have demanded a refund.
