IT pinheads

The IT department has their heads up their asses more than usual. Today's phonecall "Me: Hi Tom, is there something wrong with the network?" "No, but you can send Ted email." Me:"No, I can't, I can't connect to the exchange server." Tom: 'Well, then send Daniel email." Me: "What part of I can't connect to the exchange server was unclear?" Tom: "Then send Bill email." Me: "Do you want me to walk over there and hit you?"

I suspect I probably shouldn't threaten to hit another employee, but I can't seem to care much.

Like the time the IT guy whose name and number were unknown to me emailed me to say my laptop was ready for pickup. My email access being limited to the laptop...

But at least he knows he deserves it.
