I survived the opening of the (not brave enough to acutally take them) HOT lanes on my 495 commute. Apparently there have been five accidents at one entrance since Saturday.

You don't need the electronics, you can pay at the web site. I grant you this information isn't widely known at all.

Yeah, I accidentally got stuck without cash on the Greenway once, and they just took a photo of my plate and mailed me a bill for the cost of the toll. If you pay it on time, there's no penalty. They really, really don't advertise that very well though.
