Da Vinci's notebook
Feb. 10th, 2002 08:18 pmLast night Pam and I went out to celebrate with Heather
and Rodney. They had just purchased the house they've
been renting, and wanted to celebrate becoming
a slave to their morgage for the next 30 years.
We went out to a place on Wilson Blvd in Rosalyn,
which I didn't get the name of, but it was yummy
food. I had something like chicken with wine, but
it had a french name I can't remember. It was a tad
bit pricier than Pam and I usually do, but Pam had also
just gotten her first "full" paycheck for the new job.
The Davinci's Notebook group was the lead act in the
Arlington County A Capella (I never know if that
gets spelled one word or two) festival, we went last
year and this year the crowd was much bigger. The second
act got introduced as "rocket scientists" so I guess
that they were NASA-Goddard folk, and sure enough I
recognized one of them as being Karen Smale. I met
Karen in Marshall Space Flight Center about a decade
ago when I was working on my thesis, and we tend to chat
everytime I see her at a AAS meeting. I had wanted to talk
to her at intermission, but Heather started to feel unwell
and we had to go. I'll have to let Karen how much
I enjoyed listening to her sing. I'll also have to
tell her how much I enjoyed watching her in leather
pants. She is quite easy on the eyes. :)

Yup
have seen the same performance.
