Looks like I may lose my window office due to Office of Homeland security. Worked here 10 years, have had 5 offices. Now it looks to be six. Shit, hell, damn, spit, piss.
Homeland security is moving to the Nebraska Ave Security station, which is about a mile from here. Apparently 17 people from Nebraska Ave who got booted out of their offices are booting me out of mine. And all the space we had planned to use if our astrometric sattelite got funded. And our departmental conference room.
Change jobs! I don't think there's a PhD Astronomer in the building who doesn't have a window office. Heck, *I* have a window office. (But I have to share mine, since I lack a PhD in astronomy. :) )
