She's done having her gall bladder removed, and looks fine. She had an asthma attack on the table, which ended up with her having a tube shoved down her throat, but she is looking better than I had expected. She's downstairs talking with a friend rather than collapsing immediately into bed.

My father and grandmother both had theirs removed. What I learned from watching that was that gallstones are insanely screamingly painful. Lack of a gall bladder requires some diet management but generally isn't associated with pre-operation levels of intense pain.
