Joy

I get to buy a new furnace, and a new AC system! Oh frabjus joy.

On the bright side...

The new system is likely a lot more efficient than the old one, which will save you money in the long run. And I believe they're still giving tax credits toward systems that meet certain minimum efficiency standards.

That really sucks.

OTOH, I did the same thing a couple of years back. If you'd like info on the system I went with, let me know.

For the record, I'm *EXTREMELY* happy with my new system.

My AC (more info on my Infinity/SEER-21 unit)

My furnace (more info on my Infinity/80% unit)

FYI - I went with Arundel Cooling & Heating (BBB report) and though I'm not sure what their service range is, I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for similar work!

Total sympathy here! We got to replace the heat pump this year, and the water system previously. I know what you are going through.
